As you already know from the previous post Count On Your Beauty Brand I just love Lancôme products, so, I thought I’d share with you what I consider to be their MUST HAVE items. After thinking about how I could possibly narrow down all the amazing products Lancôme I use, the fairest way to limit the MUST HAVE list is by only including the products that I use every day, without fail.
Over the years I have tried lots of different mascara’s, I’ve tried the infamous YSL Luxurious Mascara For False Lash Effect; L’Oreal Lash Architect; Clinque Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara; Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara along with a whole host of others with gimmicky brushes, combs and promises of lash curl. Yet, only one satisfies all of my needs, one little black tube, Lancôme Custom Wear Volume Mascara in Noir.
Even other Lancôme mascara’s don’t compare to this award wining product. It really lives up to its name ‘Custom Wear’ as you can build up layers to match the look you want for different occasions.
I have tried to illustrate this in the pictures below showing the gradual build up of product on my lashes from one to four coats, this is what makes this mascara so brilliant as some days (especially in the summer) I just want a light natural looking flash of mascara but then on a night out I love the full-on false lash effect.
Stage 1 – no makeup at all!
Stage 2 – one coat
Stage 3 – two coats
Stage 4 – three coats
Stage 5 – four coats
Can you see what I mean? It’s so versatile and there’s no need to wipe off the brush to clear excess masacara as it just seems to work no matter how much is loaded on. You don’t need to wait too long in between layers either, I usually add one coat then pencil my eyebrows then another before popping on some blusher, and so on as I build them up.
